Now in its fifth season, Round The Block! Celebrating Arts and Community is leaving its home in the Garment District for the first time, and heading to West Harlem in a co-production with SND. RTB! is a promenade-style performance connecting all the creative people in the neighborhood – businesses, community organizations, garment workers, visual artists, choreographers, and theater-makers.
We invite audiences to join us on a guided tour around a few blocks in West Harlem to experience short pieces of visual and performance art while meeting the diverse, thriving businesses and creators who call the neighborhood home. The event is a chance to gather together, get to know each other as neighbors, and raise awareness and visibility for the district’s creative entrepreneurs and organizations. The tours, led by our artistic guides – one returning, one new – will depart two times in the evening and last about 30 minutes each. Starting and concluding at the Broadway Presbyterian Church for additional hands-on activities, art installation, performances, and more.
