MONTHLY NEWSLETTER: MAY 2022

From Montana to Motore, you MAY love these updates!

From our recent adventures in the land of Big Sky to rehearsals on the beautiful stage at BMCC and watching our Wayne State Dance Italia alumni perform in NYC, April has felt like a whirlwind! We've been busy preparing for our first performances of ‘A, My Name Is…’ since the pandemic hit and are in the final stages of planning our Spring 2022 Everybody Dance festival at Hudson River Park's Pier 62. I hope those of you who are local will join us at one or more of our upcoming events.

SND

Yellowstone VCR Residency in Billings, Montana: 3/31 – 4/5

I spent an inspiring five days with fellow choreographer Maya Orchin researching ideas, performing, and teaching. We performed an excerpt of a new piece we are working on at Montana State University and accepted students into our Young Artists Program at Dance Italia this summer. Thank you, Leigh Schanfein, for hosting us, for the unforgettable hike up Beartooth, and the magical dinner at Red Lodge. It all feels like a fairytale, and I am looking forward to returning!

A, MY NAME IS... performance

Join us for a performance of 'A, My Name Is…' on May 21st at Roxbury Arts Center in Roxbury, NY. This performance will feature cast members Christine Bonansea Saulut, Rosie DeAngelo, Matilda Mackey, and Emily Tellier. Click here for tickets.

Welcome SND's Newest Board Member Bianca Cosentino
