"A diagonal line across the stage invisibly linked Nelson’s movement with Sadowski’s playing. Their expressive hands and small motions interconnected in a complex tight geography."

Performing Venn Duet, by Stefanie Nelson/Stefanie Nelson Dance Group, is Julian Barnett and Ofelia Loret de Mola. The duet is a push-and-pull of emotions between the two characters as lovers, with the dancers constantly intertwining their legs, leaning and pushing within their interaction... powerful. Prey/Pray ...a nifty piece of male/female interaction with two predatory/hopeful women dancing hyperactive and skittish attempts to get attention from a laconic man who occasionally engages them. A clever ending adds humor and one more layer.

..." (Pray/Prey) take chances and go to places and explore ideas in ways I haven't really seen before....at times humorous and at times creepy. I love this piece and will be sure to catch their next performance!"

“Oh Alice...movement as ragged and disturbing as Grace Slick's voice....a continuous cycle of jerks and spasms with iron-clad abandon....a wild and bumpy trip.”

“Deserved success for Genova Danza, a contemporary dance festival that in the past few days, has animated the evenings at the Sala Mercato del (Teatro) Modena.
....Lische (Simone Magnani and Cristiano Fabbri, with Stefanie Nelson and Max Barachini, live music by Michele Ferrari)
…great tension and feeling with a vain of irony in Loops, a quartet in which the ethereal Stefanie Nelson stood out amongst the male protagonists.”
1/27/05 - Simona Griggio
…. “Loops” (choreography by Simone Magnani, Cristiano Fabbri and Max Barachini, with the presence of the great dancer Stefanie Nelson and live music by Michele Ferrari), takes its inspiration and ideas of flight from the world of birds, to develop a very precise work on the body that literally had the audience spellbound. A choreographical composition full of delicacy and poetry, moving from the strong physical gestures typical of contact dance taking off into far reaching, unexplored horizons (the magic of Russell Maliphant comes to mind).”

June 2004 - Bruce Michelson
“So how does cultural context affect the way choreography is approached and how it is received? American Stefanie Nelson contrasted the dance-cultural gulf between the oceans in her concise solo Emerge. With hair flying, she struggled to break out of a small self-inflicted circle of engagement in a clearly constructed work which makes reference to the American modern dance perspective.“
